The Founders

Darryl W.  Porter is a retired Rochester City School District school board president.   Gail Rizzo is a retired special education teacher.
The Board of Trustees
Joseph Bivins is a retired principal with strong capabilities and competence in governing schools.   He has diverse leadership qualities and a commitment to ensure quality education for all students.  

Scott Smith provides legal oversight for the Board.  He currently works for the City of Rochester as a Municipal Attorney.  Mr. Smith is a parent and a Rochester city resident.


Patricia Jackson serves as the Board of Trustees Recording Secretary.  She served as the Executive Director of the South West Area Neighborhood Association (SWAN), a community service organization.  Ms. Jackson retired in 2014 but continues to work with SWAN as a consultant for the Board of Directors.  She is the executive assistant for Senator Joseph E. Robach (R, C, IP - NY).
  Clintona Gordon is in charge of the board correspondence and is responsible for representing the Board and the Boys to Men Community Charter School in general.  She is a Rochester city resident.  Ms. Gordon is employed as an Office Assistant with New York State.

Michael Winterhalter oversees Development and Monitoring of Fiscal Compliance, Budget Development and Monitoring, Cash Flow, and Fiscal Operational Reviews for the organization. He works for Action for a Better Community, Inc.   Mr. Winterhalter does research for facility acquisition.


Michael. Brown is a Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker with Nothnagle Realtors since 2007. He worked at the Monroe County Sheriff's Office for 25 years and retired with the rank of Deputy Sheriff Sergeant Jailor in 2010.
